Salman’s painting for book cover Print
Wednesday, 23 April 2008
The book is based on a boy in Ahmedabad and his trials and tribulations.

“Salman met Chetan through Hello – a film by Atul Agnihotri based on Cheta’s book One Night @ Call Center. They were discussing Chetan’s next book that he was writing at that time… and while discussing it Salman came up with the idea of writing the introduction for the book,” says a source.

Also, deeply moved with the story of the novel, Salman decided to give a painting to Chetan.

“Salman has been gifting a lot of paintings. Sometimes he also does it to create awareness for his foundation. Chetan mentioned that he was thinking of a cover for the book. And so while he was discussing the foreword he presented him with a painting that will now form the cover image. But it’s being kept under wraps as neither Salman nor Chetan wants it disclosed to the public just yet,” says the source.

Chetan Bhagat has become a popular novelist in Bollywood. After Atul Agnihotri it is now Raj Kumar Hirani who will be taking Bhagat’s Five Point Someone to the big screen in the form of Idiots.
