Bollywood is one place where friends can turn foes overnight. One hit film, and friends flock around you, one flop and they vanish into thin air. Recently, something very similar happened to filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar. The director had signed Sangeeta Ahir's film Big Bazaar an a time when producers and actors flocked around him right after his successful Vaastav. But since the filmmaker has hardly delivered a decently nice film post that, he has now been left in the lurch - alone and definitely lonely. It's heard that Anurag Kashyap will now be replacing Mahesh for the film. And guess what, we heard that actor Salman Khan had a hand in this 'replacement'. Sangeeta Ahir who produced Vaah Life Ho To Aisi and jointly produced Apne says, "It is a fact that Mahesh is not doing this film. We've had a meeting with Anurag Kashyap and now it's only the paper work which is left. We will then sit on the cast and credits of the film" Big Bazaar is based on the life of mill workers in Mumbai who lost their jobs and homes due to the shutting down of the mills. Sangeeta has done apparently done a lot of research on this issue. This sensitive movie will raise many questions like, what happened to the workers, why the mills were converted to shopping malls etc.
