Salman Khan - You're Our Style Bhai! Print

French Cut HUNK

He’ll look stylish even if he’s dead
Come rain or shine, Salman Khan has always been in “top shape”, and is effortlessly
fashionable. The superstar was stripped off his luxuries and spent three mournful
nights at Central Jail in Jodhpur. After attaining the much-anticipated bail, he walked
out of jail looking ekjactly the same as he did when he was sentenced.
His clean-shaven face might have borne scattered traces of remorse, anguish,
soreness, longing and happiness, but his Rin-safed ganji hurriedly thrown over a
roughed-up pair of jeans, and a matching baseball hat, reinstated his position as the
father of Bollywood fashion.
Tom Cruise zoomed his way to Hollywood A-list, wearing a tan cool-dude leather
jacket, while on home turf, Salman made his grand entry into Bollywood,
immortalising a ditto jacket in Maine Pyar Kiya.
He initiated the trend of male obscenity, a domain predominantly governed by
women, by blatantly showing off his chiselled body in Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, while
ladylove Kajol blushed in a traditional salwar kameez. Last year, he boogied with
Bipasha Basu in an item number for Boney Kapoor’s multi-starrer No Entry, wearing a
formal suit!   A blazing example of the changing roles in the Indian film industry.
His mane followed a trendy trail as we lived to tell the tale of his wet, combed in
equal proportions, hairdo in Tere Naam. The elite would vote it the worst hairstyle,
ever, but the junta      actually made its way to their respective Rs-50-per-haircut
saloons to replicate the centre-parted, dolly locks.
Age is just a fragile state of mind, especially insignificant to a 40-plus style bhai
called Salman.

Salman had to let go of his lucky charm
The silver bracelet embedded with a turquoise stone, that Salman sports on his right
wrist, has been with him forever. It’s rare to find him without it. But when he
emerged from behind bars in Jodhpur, his hands were bare. Guess his lucky charm
was safely tucked away in the shopping bag he was carrying with him.
