Big B refuses to work with Salman in 'Veer'

The Salman Khan written film, Veer, goes on the floors soon. But even before the shoot begins, there’s some casting trouble.

Amitabh Bachchan, who heard a narration of the film some days ago and promised to think about it, has refused to be part of the project. As a result there is a desperate look for a replacement, which might cause a delay in the project.

Not with him!

A source says, “Director Anil Sharma had approached Amitabh Bachchan but he said no. Anil was very confident considering that they had worked together in Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon in 2004.”

However a Bachchan campwala stresses that AB refusing Veer had nothing to do with Salman Khan.

“The reason why he does not want to be part of the film is because of Anil Sharma. The Big B felt Anil Sharma couldn’t do justice to a sensitive subject in Ab Tumhare... and so doesn’t want to work with him again.”

No meeting

However, Sharma denies meeting Bachchan. “Talks are on for this project. I am meeting people but a formal announcement will follow. I haven’t met Mr Bachchan in the last 15-20 days,” he says.
