‘London Dreams’ rights sold for Rs 120 crore

Small screen is surely doing wonders for actor Salman Khan whose demand on the silver screen is soaring high thanks to his charming presence on the big bucks show ‘Dus Ka Dum’.

The show that presents Bollywood macho man as a much relaxed joke cracking host has not only helped the actor to shed away his reclusive image but has also made him climb the popularity charts. Sallu’s new avatar is not only a hit with the audience but also with the producers who appear to be all set to cash upon his image.

According to reports, Studio 18 is so worked up about Salman that it has bought the worldwide rights to his forthcoming movie ‘London Dreams’ for a whopping sum of Rs 120 crores.

The film that is directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, will see Sallu sharing screen space with actor Ajay Devgan. Produced by Vipul Shah, a total of 500 prints will be released across the globe.

The movie relates the story of childhood friends, who grow up to be musicians and are pitted against each other. After Hrithik Roashan’s ‘Kites’, which was sold for Rs 110 crore by Eros International, Sallu’s film has climbed to the number one spot as one of the most expensive film deals.
