Another brand is looking to cash in on the Salman Khan hype. Suzuki Motorcycle India’s (SMIPL) two wheeler section Suzuki Motor Corps has roped in the star to advertise its new bike Hayate as their first brand ambassador. The campaign in Hindi reads Suzuki Hayate – Yun Hi Nhi Chalate while the English one reads Suzuki Hayate – there’s always a reason to ride it.
The vehicle has been built keeping in mind the needs of the rural and semi-urban people. The TVC will see Salman Khan emerge as a Dabangg style cop who vows to catch two run away criminals. He will use the bike to nail the culprit and along the way exhibit its many features. SMIPL Head of marketing division Anu Anamik said that Hayate is a very convenient fuel efficient motorbike for consumers which can be easily handled too. Salman’s love for bikes and his insightful attitude towards endorsements made him their first choice for brand ambassador. Salman Khan’s grip over the masses and his appeal in all sections of the society will help the bike hit its target audience.
Sunil Kukreti of RK Swamy BBDO who has conceptualized the commercial said that Salman Khan’s fame is not restricted to just the urban people but finds resonance in rural areas as well. Hence, they wanted Khan’s presence in the ad coupled with the brand’s attributes to affect the consumers to go for it.
