Salman Khan wants a glam Priyanka Chopra in ‘Zanjeer’ remake!
Salman Khan has started taking keen interest in the making of Zanjeer remake which stars Priyanka Chopra. As per recent reports, he has appointed himself as the consultant for the Zanjeer remake.

It’s learnt that the Dabangg Khan has suggested changes in the script of Zanjeer remake that will by large benefit actress Priyanka Chopra. The actress will essay the role of the feisty Mala (played by Jaya Bachchan) in the remake. Salman Khan has suggested Priyanka’s role to be more “glamorous, glorious and gratifying” than it was in the original, reveal sources. Priyanka Chopra is the main lead in the film besides Ram Charan Teja, who plays Amitabh Bachchan’s character.

But, why Salman Khan is so much into the new Zanjeer? One of the reasons for this is that the original was written by his screenwriter father Salim Khan, and secondly he has taken a liking to Ram Charan and was even present at his wedding celebrations last month.

“Salman invited Ram Charan and director Apoorva Lakhia to discuss modifications in the new Zanjeer,” a source is quoted as saying. Besides a glam PeeCee, Sallu even wants Ram Charan to show his dancing mettle in the film, instead of being a serious, broody guy like Big B in the old Zanjeer.

However, Salman taking care of Priyanka is a shocker for many. Why is he warming up to the friend-turned-foe, who is now an acquaintance? Does this have to do with Priyanka no longer being part of Shahrukh Khan’s camp?

Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan have done films together in the past like Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Salaam-E-Ishq but after the change of equations, no filmmaker approached the duo for the films.
