Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger to release on Aug 15

Apart from promoting and marketing the film, another thing that makes a huge difference is the timing of release. Many stars have their own release criterions regarding the same as Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan go for Diwali, Salman Khan for Eid and Aamir Khan for Christmas. Similarly, for Ek Tha Tiger, Yash Raj Films is apparently looking for August 15 release; which luckily this time is a 6 days weekend holiday.

Now it was well known that Ek Tha Tiger would release sometime around Eid since it is a Salman Khan movie. But it will also be clubbed with our independence day, thus giving it a huge window to earn great profits. A source informed a portal that 15th August will be a good date for ETT to release. Monday will be Eid i.e. 20th August and this will earn the film a long weekend to cash on. The source is sure that the film will create Box Office history with such favourable release timings.

Bodyguard too enjoyed a similar good fortune last year when it released during Eid and earned five day long weekend. This time even Monday has joined in the holiday furore and will definitely benefit the film. A trade specialist informed that Ek Tha Tiger has everything working in its favour because big films always dread a lull Monday but this time, that fear has been quelled. One can only imagine the money Ek Tha Tiger will make! While the production house is still not out with an official confirmation on the release date, but buzz is strong that it definitely will be August 15 as such a lucrative opportunity doesn’t knock twice. We hope all the hoopla is justified with the film!
